Wood’s two books adapt the films he worked on. James Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me follows the 1977 screen story, not Fleming’s Vivienne Michel novel. James Bond and Moonraker follows the 1979 film, not Fleming’s missile plot in England. Read them in that order as screen-derived adventures; their original print editions are now collector and second-hand reading.
